| CLUB WALK | GODALMING |
| This month's club walk is a stroll along the River Wey from Godalming to Guildford. We will meet at Godalming train station (GU7 1EU) for a 12.15pm start (note that some of us will catch the 11:46 train from Guildford). The walk, approx 5 miles, will take us along the river bank to Guildford, enjoying the English summer, hopefully in full swing by now, though there may well still be areas of muddy patches. Suitable footware should be worn. When we reach Guildford you have two choices: yes two! You can catch the train to your homeward destination - there are frequent trains back to Godalming, cost approx £2.60, to collect your abandoned vehicles in the station car park; OR you can continue to enjoy the company of friends and good food in one of Guildford's fine establishments. | NEW MEMBERS PITCH & PUTT NIGHT | FRIMLEY |
| This event is aimed at prospective members and new members, giving you the chance to meet some of the committee and tell us how you’re getting on in the Club. However, everyone is very welcome. The pitch and putt course at Frimley Lodge Park (GU16 6NS, NB: access is via Sturt Road) is a 9-hole fun course. You do not need to have played golf before and the holes are very short! Golf clubs and balls are provided (a deposit of £2 is required for the equipment) and the round costs only £2.50. After we’ve completed the round, or lost all the balls, we will depart for a drink at the nearby Rose and Thistle pub (Sturt Road, GU16 6HT), where bar food is also available. Meet in front of the pavilion at 7.00pm. Contact your hosts for directions, or to let us know you’re coming. | |

| GUILDFORD CLUB NIGHT | GUILDFORD |
| The venue for the Guildford Club Night is the Britannia Pub, Millmead, GU2 4BE. Guildford Club Night is a popular night, with a large attendance and is an event not to be missed. The Britannia has a pleasant and inviting atmosphere, a good range of drinks and will be offering us a free buffet. It is located just a few 100 yards down the road to the right of the White House pub at the bottom of the High Street and not far from the train station. | This event is only for prospective members or members who have been in the club for less than 6 months. If you are a prospective or new member and would like to come along and meet other prospective or new members in a relaxed atmosphere and have something to eat and drink, contact Simon or Linda. Previous meals have been hugely popular. We shall be continuing on to the Club Night after the meal. | |
